Adobe Soundbooth CS3

The Adobe Soundbooth is a brand new audio software program that brings high-quality audio editing within the price range of the average person.
Soundbooth is easy to use straight out of the box. I downloaded the free 30-day trial download, installed it on my computer and opened a EVP file that was unfiltered and uncleaned. It had a lot of ambient noise and hiss on it. 10 seconds later I had a cleaner version with almost no hiss.
The interface of Soundbooth is very intuitive. If you are familiar with Adobe Photoshop you will recognize some of the tools available to you. Tools like the "marquee" and "lasso" allow you to select a region and apply various processes to it.
One of the coolest features though is the "auto-healing" tool. Change your waveform view to Spectrograph view and then select the "time selection" tool. Drag it over a section of noise you want to remove and click the "auto-healing" button. Seclect the intensity of removal and Soundbooth will remove that noise profile.
There is a Graphic and Parametric EQ as well that will allow you to dial in or out certain frequencies. Soundbooth is available for Mac as well as PC. If you are serious about cleaning EVP's then download this product and try it for yourself.

KOSS PRO4AAT Stereo Headphones

The PRO4AA Titanium features dynamic elements for an exceptionally wide frequency response from 10-25,000 Hz. A 2 mil. titanium coating on its diaphragms increases the rigidity of the element, minimizing mechanical distortion and ensuring exceedingly accurate sound reproduction. One-inch (25.4 mm) diameter oxygen-free copper voice coils improve signal transmission and conduction for cleaner, clearer sound. For times when every note must be captured and no sound allowed to leak through, closed PneumaliteTM cushions form a positive, comfortable seal around the ears, maximizing bass frequencies and isolating the listener from ambient noise.

Designed for frequent use over extended periods, the PRO4AA's durable steel and rubber headband is generously padded. Adjustable slide bars ensure a snug fit, also critical for hearing every note and keeping unwanted sounds out. The heavy-duty, single-entry eight-foot coiled cord affords ample flexibility of movement. A 3.5 mm (1/8") plug and a 6.3 mm (¼") screw-on type adapter, both with gold-flashing, are included. Price: $99.00

FEATURES:
• Frequency Response - 10-25,000 Hz
• Impedance - 250 ohms
