Audio Samples

The following are audio samples of various evps before and after cleaning. The first 4 samples are from TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society. You know, the Ghosthunters on the Sci-Fi channel) In all cases the techniques used to clean them are stated. I have not listed what I think these files say, I leave that up to the listener. With all evps what is heard depends on the listener and their listening environment. If you think a particular evp says something please email me at info@evpresource.com


EVP #1 Before - After
This file was cleaned using EQ, Waves X-Noise and the volume was brought up after cleaning with Waves L1 Ultramaximizer. A high-pass filter was used to allow the high's to pass through.

EVP #2 Before - After
Using just EQ and X-Noise I was able to remove the rumbling. EQ was the most effective on this evp.

EVP #3 Before - After
This one was tough because the volume was so low on the original. I first cleaned the crackling using Waves X-Crackle. Then when it was sufficiently cleaner I increased the volume in increments of 10db. Then Waves Ultramaximizer L3 was used with the setting on "Track Slammer".

EVP #4 Before - After
This one was fairly clean but it lacked any definition. By using the EQ and bringing out more of the high end I was able to add some definition to the syllables. Anunciantion was more pronounced as well.

EVP #5 Before - After
This one was sent to me by a TAPS viewer. There was a large amount of hiss. I used Waves X-Noise to remove the hiss by about 95%. Thresh hold was set to 8.3. Noise Reduction was set at 100%. Attack and Release were set to 0. High Shelf Frequency was set to 4006 and Gain to 30.0. Resolution was set to High. No EQ was used on this one.
